Your statement

The converter runs in your browser. The file you choose, its password and everything read from it are not sent to us or to anyone else, and they are not kept: closing or reloading the page clears them. Files you download are saved by your browser on your device. There are no accounts, and the free converter sets no cookie.

The paid Tally file

Dodo Payments sells the Tally file as merchant of record. You enter your payment and billing details on Dodo's payment page; Dodo processes them under its own privacy policy. We receive from Dodo the details of the purchase needed for refunds and our accounts.

To open it, the page sends the payment ID and the email address you paid with (or, back from the payment page, the checkout session) to our server, which asks Dodo whether the purchase is paid, not refunded, still running and made with that email address. Our server compares the address and does not store it. Nothing from your statement is sent: the Tally file is made in your browser. The payment ID and email address stay in your browser's local storage so the check can run again on your next visit, and the checkout session in session storage until the tab is closed. When Dodo confirms the purchase, our server also sets one cookie, paid_tally, for 10 minutes. It holds only an expiry time and a signature, nothing about you, and lets this browser load the part of the page that writes the file.

Web hosting

Cloudflare, Inc. delivers the site. It processes your IP address and technical data of each request to deliver the pages and protect the site from abuse. Cloudflare Web Analytics counts page visits without cookies or cross-site tracking; it receives the page address and load times, never your file. Cloudflare may process this data outside India.

Fonts and scripts come from this site itself; the one exception is Cloudflare's Web Analytics script, which counts the visit as described above.

Your rights

You may ask for a summary of your personal data we process, its correction, completion, updating or erasure, and nominate another person to use these rights if you die or cannot act (sections 11 to 14). As we store no data that identifies you, there is normally nothing to return. Write to contact@vedacta.com; we answer grievances within 30 days.
